Here in Mid MO already vehicles are covered in ice. Roads are getting bad also. Right now there is thunder and very light freezing drizzle. Glad I filled my bird feeders yesterday! Watch it on the ice...if you have golf shoes, they work great on the ice as do old socks worn over shoes. Y'all be careful out there later...it is 30 degrees right now, also.

I read that Joplin, MO got a lot of freezing rain last night. It does not look good for Tuesday in terms of more freezing rain in western Missouri and eastern Kansas. Temperatures look to stay near to below freezing during the freezing rain event.

Right now it is 28 and more freezing stuff on the way to here in mid MO. but the air smells so clean and fresh when I went for a walk through the woods earlier. Behind our home and across the power line...beautiful vision of the trees and bushes covered with a coating of ice. And as I walked through the brush the tinkling sound of ice breaking off of their frozen branches was a simple reminder of nature's music.

It is a wonderful sight. Have a marvelous Monday...
