Red face Hollister....ahem.

I was so proud to see our tiny fair city listed in and amongst those far bigger bergs on your "maybe" list!

Hollister has been languishing for years in the shadow of her SuperStarSister, Branson...but I've been living here for the past 4 years and this little town is really coming into her own.

Welcome to the city of Hollister Missouri
Hollister R-V School District

We're currently building the first privately funded commercial airport in the nation (they're calling it Branson Regional Airport but it's IN HOLLISTER)...Branson Airport | About, A huge new water park entertainment complex... Welcome to Wilderness in the Ozarks, Soon to be Missouri’s largest Waterpark Resort ...expanded roads...new housing, both affordable and NOT...it's a cool time to jump in!

Columbia is a great town! Or any of the smaller towns surrounding it. I live about 20 minutes away and it is great. Small town of 1,100, great AAA+ schools, and I come to Columbia daily to work. You are also less than an hour from the Lake of the Ozarks for additional entertainment options. Located half-way between St. Louis and Kansas City if you want to go either way for shopping/entertainment there also. We have taken day trips to both for Christmas shopping and it is a very enjoyable trip. Carolyn

Default Places to live

Dexter is a nice friendly little town, pretty good school district. I would however, recommend Jackson MO. It is right next to Cape Girardeau, which has a mall, restaurants and two nice hospitals. Jackson has an excellent school system, clean friendly safe place to live. Small town feel, while still within reach of big-city amenities.

Neosho is a good little community. I used to teach there. Not too far from good hospitals. ten minutes from Joplin.

Carthage is a community many enjoy.

I also really liked living in Springfield.

I would discount Adrian. One of my close friends grew up there and there isn't much going on. Atleast it is close to KC though...
