Can anyone give me any history on the FREDERICKTOWN RACEWAY built by the VFW?

Just in case you haven't found/saw such, there is a stlracing.com site dedicated to the Fred town racing track - you might find dedicated info there too. Good luck!

I remember watching my uncles race there when I was a little kid back in the '70's. I don't remember anything else though....good luck with your search.

Yes, I have been on STLracing.com. I do most of our posting. But I need history when the track was being built by the veterans and it seems to have been forever lost or buried somewhere. Most of the people that raced then have since passed. I appreciate you help.

Guess you've inquired of the locals in that area too, if they may have some info too? The local paper, nursing home, etc.?

Yes, I've checked everyplace, just dead ends. It seems not many records were kept.

By the way, we race every FRIDAY nite at "THE ROCK" in Fredericktown. We have the BEST drivers and FAN base around, especially for a small track.
