With springtime just around the corner, I have a discussion topic. Do ya'll get used to the hot summer weather? I've never been able to get used to the cold but a mid to high 90's day with high humidity seems regular enough to me that I hardly notice it (Unless it's right after a rain). Man I can't wait for summer

I LOVE the warm/hot weather. There may be a week or so that feels a bit too soupy for my taste but I love the rest of it. I'm not a big fan of the cold though. Where we moved to Missouri from, the warm months were short and it felt like I spent far too much time indoors trying to stay warm.

I suppose a person could get accustomed to anything if they're exposed to it long enough.
Just a theory, but it seems that people would probably be more content if there was less travel, moving around, or hype on TV about certain places. Not that there is anything horribly wrong with all that, but if people didn't experience all sorts of different places, they'd be more likely to just go with the flow.

A hot summer is harder to deal with if it comes on fast or early. By late August, it's somewhat more tolerable in that 90 doesn't feel quite as hot as it did in June. I still don't care for it. By the same token, 35 feels like springtime after several weeks of below 20.

I'm used to cold weather. I vastly prefer (most) hot weather. 100-plus temps with 80-90percent humidity can be an exception. But the typical missouri summer day- low in the mid-60s, high in the mid-80s, is very pleasant. Typical spring days are even better.

Well down here in Cape we get to the mid 90's on a pretty regular basis with very high humidity. I barely even notice it (until it's gone....lol) and I'm ready for it to be back!

I don't mind it at all. Summer is supposed to be hot.
It helps to have air conditioning, of course.

Its supposed to hit 80 here tomorrow....I'll be coming home at the end of May, and staying til October, and then it will still be in the mid 80s when I get back to Florida.
I must admit, 8 months of hot weather gets a little tiresome after 20 years.
