A second phase of development will be located near Halls Mill Road. Supposedly, it will feature a grocery store and home furnishings retailer among its tenants.

People keep leaving Mobile for obvious reasons, such as the schools and crime. I lived there 27 years so I'm entitled to complain about the city. I am much happier on the ES, and if I shop high end it's online or the outlets elsewhere. Airport and Schillinger are grossly overcrowded, and if you haven't been to Bel Air lately--shudder. Mobile is trying. I will give it credit for that, but after working all over the country for several years, I can't see moving back there ever. That's just my opinion.

For all of its supposed demographic greatness, you would think national retailers would be falling over themselves to develop new stores on the Eastern Shore or even relocate. Spanish Fort Town Center has proven to be a disaster. Eastern Shore Centre has more vacant space than Bel Air Mall and Legacy Village combined, and I wouldn't be surprised if it loses an anchor store in within a year. The only shopping center that seems to be healthy is Jubilee Square.

Oh, the tired ol' "I travel a lot" qualifier for an opinion. Well, so do I. Whoop-de-doo.

As we've stated multiple times, people aren't "leaving" Mobile en masse or anything like that. I don't know why you keep stating this. The population has been steady.

You're certainly entitled to you opinion, but I don't know why you spend your time bashing a city in which you don't live. Perhaps you should use this time to improve your county's declining school system or creating some sustainable planning methods.

And that's because there are more Mobilians coming ivwr to shop there. If it wasn't for Mobilians that center would go under aswell.

I think everything that's been announced, is all that's been released. Homegoods (finally), costco, field&stream, and dick's. Ali nhn g with some low end stuff, and a few others. I doubt the whole thing will be full when it first opens.
