You are right PortCity because the 32 story bank building is hidden behind the hotel building.

Oh yeah and several other buildings are not seen in that pic .I know for a fact that from better angles Mobile skyline is the same size as St.Louis and taller. Birmingham`s skyline is nice and B-ham has a real skyline to me and from certain sides( east and west angles) it is not as big as it seems passing it from I-65 !! When I was at Legion Field I was able to see only 3 of B-hams DT buildings but from I-65 there are like 30 + .

and the hotel doesn`t have a spire nor does it show the new Hampton Inn that added so much density to that block as well.

Well can you get a picture that includes all of these buildings, not to mention the whole downtown area?

This is what I could find from the I-165 direction on google. I know the view you are speaking of PortCity, as I'd drive in from 165 or I-10 many a' times. However, I still don't get the comparison to other mid-majors. Mobile size-wise is nowhere near as big as the other cities listed. Again, nothing against Mobile as I'd take it's buildings and atmospherical presence over any others. Just saying.

I understand where your coming from but you have to admit if you havn`t visited Mobile or St. Louis by the looks of this above pic and the one you posted of the St.Louis skyline you have to admit they are the same size or Mobile seems larger ?

I also have seen pics of the Mobile`s skyline from the Fairhope pier during tha annual sailboat raceon the bay nise shots from who ever took them it`s on the AL.com website. If they were to add 2 or 3 more 300 - 400 footers to the west of Dt that would put Mobile in the ball park than.

Another good place to see Mobile's skyline from across the bay is Daphne Bayfront Park.

The RSA tower in Mobile is even visible from the Grand Hotel in Point Clear, which is pretty neat, considering the distance.
