Oh okay, well then USA would definitely feel large enough then. Plus you would have the rest of Mobile/Eastern Shore to play in. Unless you just desire to go experience the major college life (Auburns, Alabamas, Floridas of the world, etc.), I would highly recommend South Alabama. It has a decent atmosphere, a nice campus, and well-respected programs in Medicine, Education (which I came from), and Business. I'm sure meteorology is not bad, I just do not know that much about the program.

Actually, the college town atmosphere is one of the reasons why I am transferring. It just feels too small. Plus, I'm not too big of a football fan, so I kinda want to avoid Auburn and Alabama especially

But yeah, I prefer a bigger city with plenty of opportunities and things to do. You said the business program is pretty well respected? What kind of work is there to do in Mobile?

To my knowledge. I have a few friends who graduated in Business from USA. It's widely known that USA is very respected in the field of Medicine (what the school is mainly known for) and is also considered to have a great program in the field of Education. I have heard similar things regarding the Business field, however it's not as publicized. Someone might know more than I do about that.

I am not sure if you are referring to jobs for students or post-grad jobs, but if the later, Mobile offers a good amount of jobs in Health Care and Education (when the economy is normal). Good amount of businesses too that operate locally/regionally and hire local grads. Unfortunately, there are no Fortune 500's or anything that quickly snatch up talent and pay top wages (to my knowledge).

Cool, thanks. I'm not too big on education as I don't really have the patience to teach and I'm pretty open to relocating after graduating. But thanks for the input. Doesn't necessary have to be a Fortune 500 or anything.

I just want out of JSU and this area pronto.
