Seeing that bear cub makes my Shetland ponies look a bit tame
My Mother still has one of those lawnmowers in her shed, I don't think it's been used since my Dad died in 1982, she attacks everything with a strimmer these days, not bad though being as she's 81.
I've got an old old push mower pretty much like that one... will have to check the label but it's from before zip codes.
I dont think that mower would even work now. i bought it at a garage sale, just to stick in the flower bed.(there was flowers in the barrel ,but the turkeys pulled them out to get at the seeds, that fell in from the feeder) flowers and wildlife dont mix
Yeah, you practically have to keep the flowers in a greenhouse just to prevent 'em from being munched by something, and that kinda defeats the purpose I suppose you could plant all native stuff but you can't have summer without petunias!
My antique lawn mower still works just fine. I got it off Freecycle -- went to pick up some other free something or other and they had this too, and I just liked how it looks. But I've used it a bit to whack down the cheat grass. Lotta exercise for the amount of mowing you get done!
This is one view (outlet on South end looking North - That mountain in the background has "Made in Canada" written on the reverse side) of Kintla Lake in Glacier National Park that I love.
It was taken in August of 2005 during a camping trip.
This is our guard-cat Roo, running off a corn-thieving doe (mother of two - hence the emaciation). He considers that the cracked corn is for his 'pet' birds.
Everyday is Thanksgiving Day for our cats. They enjoy their little 'turkeys' outside the house - thankfully.
