Isn't it the largest city in Montana?

There aren't a lot of posters from there or people asking specific questions about it. I am one of the few who answer questions specifically about Billings as I am from there and my family still lives there.

IMHO, the Bozeman and Missoula sub-forums could be shuttered as well as they get less than a post a week now. I'm sure they have had more in the past but are pretty quiet. It took about 6 months of constant trucker/oil/living space questions to get a Williston sub-forum up on the ND forum.

Sub. forums are decided based on traffic, not on population. Think about it, a city might be huge but on city data it has no traffic. What does city data have to gain by making an dead sub forum Years ago, Bozeman had a lot of city data traffic,, a lot of questions, etc. It has sense, died off, but once it is created, it stays.

So, no, or little traffic about Billings. does not warrent a new sub-forum. Also, admin does not create subforums based on geographical areas, such as Eastern Montana, or South Central Montana. At one point, admin did create Geo areas, but no more. When a sub-forum is created, admin assigns a person, or people, to go through the main forum to sort out all of the related posts and move them to the new sub. When you have to go back through all posts since 2006, and sort them out, there is a lot of work involved.

Funny thing, I'd just wondered the same thing, but then I couldn't remember the last post about Billings...

The truth is, nobody lives in Billings, so we got nothin' to say about it.

I think that if anywhere should get a sub forum, it should be Kirby..... or maybe Jim Town. Both, excellent places to stop in for a beer, but you'd better have on your big boy pants.
