I recently bought an old videocassette, Susan Sarandon was in it, yet at the same time, an actor that I can't stand for some reason (Dustin Hoffman) was also in it. I've enjoyed every movie Susan Sarandon was in, but I had a hard time enjoying the movie, constantly distracted/irritated by the sight of Dustin Hoffman. Half-way thru, I gave up!

That's happened with other movies I've seen, eager to see one of my favorite actors and then have to deal with an actor that turns me off royally.

Has that ever happened to you, some actor in the movie you can't stand with an actor you love, and it ended up marring the whole movie for you?

American Psycho is one that comes to mind. Love Christian Bale, but for some reason I can't stand Reese Witherspoon. I don't know why and I cannot explain it. She did play the part adequately enough though.

If it did happen to me, it would be Al Pacino, but I can't think of any particular film.

That's easy: Maid in Manhattan, with Ralph Fiennes and Jennifer Lopez.

It's the same with Clint Eastwood, and I wish I had an explanation for it, why the sight of him makes me so uncomfortable. And to think what I may be missing, not being able to enjoy a movie with him in it!

On her Majesty's Secret Service. I love Diana Rigg, but couldn't get into George Lazenby as James Bond, much.
