I really do appreciate the suggestions.

One thing I am noticing, as I google around the cybersphere looking for movies, is that there is a lot of Liberal bias in movie making these days. It is really difficult for me to put movies on the list that I find have a political agenda - and the more I research this, the more I find out that MOST of them do.

This is a very interesting project. I had no idea how many bad movies are being made. LOL

I'm also extra-sensitive to liberal bias in movies and TV shows. The movies I posted in the feel-good thread, at least, have a good message that's not slanted left.

I think "Julie and Julia" with Meryl Streep and Amy Adams would be enjoyed

another favorite of mine that has no political agenda would be "Big" with Tom Hanks

Default Recommendations of movies

Three movies that came to mind immediately-
Secretariat -the trials that Penny Tweety faced when she inherited operations of her Dad's horse farm were quite daunting to say the least.. Not to mention owning the greatest racehorse of all time .
Seabiscuit - All of the characters in this story overcome tremendous difficulties , life circumstances during the Great Deppression.
Because Of Winn Dixie - Just a sweet film about a girl , a new town and a very special dog .
