I am warmly favorable on Affleck in general. I didn't like The Town. I liked Argo. Daredevil was very dumb. I like him in Kevin Smith things.
I could see him playing a good Bruce Wayne. He could play a fake-smary Wayne and a brooding Batman. I'll buy that. I'll reserve judgement. My only issue is that he's a pretty small guy. Actually, most of the people who have played Batman are positively shrimps compared to the Batman in the comics. Bruce Wayne should be Tom Hardy as Bane sized, or Marv from Sin City. I want a Dark Knight Returns Bruce Wayne. But younger.
This is a Terrible idea! Ben is a great actor who made some bad decisions after making a classic film (Goodwill Hunting). His recent acting and directing endeavors have been excellent. He finally has credibility to his name once again and he signs on for this. It could work if it is a great movie without any of the cheesiness of the pre-Chris Nolan (and Dark Knight Rises) Batman movies.
Consider: The Middle East is in turmoil. Every day it's looking and more more like the U.S. is going to be fighting Syria. The government is whittling away at our Bill of Rights. The American middle class is treading shark-infested water. Congress is filled with clowns and crooks. Europe is teetering on collapse.
If you spent more than 5 seconds worrying about who is dressing up as Batman in the next movie, you need to reexamine your priorities in life.

Yet you have plenty of time to troll a movie message board and chastise OTHER people for caring about who is dressing up as Batman.
Its not that I don't care about the things you listed, and its true they are all infinitely more important than a Batman movie. But if you spend every waking second obsessing over them you'll slowly lose your mind. People need the occasional diversion.

I tend to agree with this. He had a few bad movies and a few just "ok" movies. Interestingly in around the time of the whole J-Lo relationship. Anyway, his work over the last 3-4 movies has been great. Plus, I liked him in DareDevil, so I think he could pull this off. I know we all want Christian Bale, but he's done - he's kept DC Comics relevant on the big screen, so let's see if the Batman vs. Superman movie can keep the train moving.

I'm not chastising anyone. I love movies as much as anyone and more than many. Just keep a little perspective. If you're signing a petition, just be sure it's for something that really matters at the end of the day.
