I agree that the sfx are not overwhelming.
I guess it depends what kind of home theater system you have.
That Batbike is pretty cool on the big screen.

I haven't seen the new Batman movie and don't really plan to! As I'm abit burnt out on Superhero movies and I tend to prefer Ledger's older roles (I really liked him as Legendary Australian Bushranger Edward "Ned" Kelly)

This clip gives an idea, On where the Waachowski's got their ideas from

The Wachowski's got their ideas from the cyber punk genre and various manga and superhero comics.
And I guess them having been D&D players also has something to do with it.

I think the Wachowski's would be perfect to write & direct Batman 3 or Batman vs Superman.

This was SUCH a GREAT movie...and Joker was PREFECT! I could actually go see this again in theaters and enjoy it. I usually don't hype an actor so much, especially with the outcome, but Heath Ledger was perfect. It makes me wonder if he became part of the Joker and is part of the reason? Who knows, but he was twisted, believable and the movie is awesome. I enjoy Christian Bale as well.
Movie gets an A+ from me.

ok.. michael keaton is THE batman for me. and michelle pffeiffer is perfect as catwoman. Matrix kicks ass.. LITERALLY... there are a lot of copycatters on the slow mo and fight scenes effect as im writing this.. so.

but have u guys seen the terminator trailer...?

I'm sure The Dark Knight would agree with me that evidence supersedes opinion.
Heck, Batman is the greatest detective since Sherlock Holmes.

I saw TDK last weekend - it was great! Christian (my love) was wonderful and Heath awesome. Loved the way they filmed the chase scene with the truck, and the sonar gadget in the building was pretty cool. They could have edited the first hour down a bit - and although I'm a fan of Maggie, not sure if she was ideal for the part. All in all, a great movie - can't wait to see it again!
