This movie is alright purely from an entertainment perspective. It did strike me as a blatant dash for cash.

I would often rather watch something of substance like: https://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_finest_hours/ Now available via Netflix

Box office receipts are hard to overlook...
Looks like society become a little more shallow with each passing year.

There's always some other movie ppl would rather watch, especially "intellectuals".

The movie wasn't bad but I've seen better. Also seen worse.

This is a bit different point of view... but with the various criticism of the current Marvel movies, when I think about the horrible 1970s Spider-Man and Captain America TV series, I tend to have an appreciation for what Marvel is doing with the current movies.

And don't forget about Thor in the 1988 "The Incredible Hulk Returns" TV movie.

^Thor...LOL!

I liked the '70s The Amazing Spider-Man series (episodes were subsequently edited into a few TV movies) with Nicholas Hammond.

Yeah, 1988 Thor is pretty funny. However, you've got to admit that Captain America has come a long way.

Cap's suit in Avengers (which just happens to be in the middle of that montage) was AWFUL. His duds in every other movie from 2011 on are great.

Yeah, the one in the Avengers wasn't his best. However, my favorite is the one from Winter Soldier.

Question...

Cap and Falcon
Spoiler
captured the Winter Solder and then pinned him by the arm in the vise machine.

It was not until Steve was sure he was "talking to Buckey" that they had a Q&A session.

Is this when CA found out that The Winter Soldier killed Tony's parents?

As corny as they are by today's standards, when I was a kid I absolutely loved all those old '70s super hero shows.
