Coming out soon, anyone going to see it?

Me, being a sucker for pain, will watch anything by M. Night as I do like him.

Some of his reviled movies I did enjoy.

Looks promising. But nothing I need to see in the theater. I'll wait for the DVD.

Most if not all of his movies looked "promising" but many turned out to be meh if not a let down.
Hopefully it will be a decent flick but I wouldn't be shocked if it didn't turn out to be.

His early movies were great. But he hasn't made a good movie in over ten years. His movies over the past decade haven't been just meh. They've been horribly bad.

But this looks like a step in the right direction.

I think that Split will be Shyamalan's long awaited return.
It has already very positive reviews on IMDB.
The trailer looks fantastic too.
James Mcavoy is a great choice for the role. He is very convincing as a psychopath.
Can't wait to see this one.

I like "horror"/suspense films, and there have been Shyamalan films I have loved...with about an equal number that I hated. Just about 50-50.

So I learned very quickly to NOT pay to see his films at the theater, but to wait until they come to cable.

Yup. I love his early movies. UNBREAKABLE is one of the best American movies in the past 20 years. THE SIXTH SENSE is a horror classic. Haters can talk to the hand, 'cause I absolutely loved SIGNS.

LADY IN THE WATER? AFTER EARTH? THE VILLAGE? THE LAST AIRBENDER? Some of the worst movies of the past 20 years. Still haven't seen the scary grandparents movie, because much like THE VILLAGE I saw the "twist ending" from a mile away just in the previews.

We pretty much agree, although I didn't like "Unbreakable".

I personally class "After Earth" as one of the worst movies I have ever watched (other than its special effects). Jaden Smith was not (and probably still isn't) actor enough to pretty much be the only real presence on the screen for 100 loooooooooooooooooong minutes. Heck...even Will Smith said it was the most disappointing film of his career.
