man TV station showing syndicated movies suck. Every single time I am channel surfing, Bad Boys pops up, and I have to check the details. 9 times out of 10, it is that will smith and martin lawrence BS.
Freaking Hate it when this happens. Why did they have to choose that title, and virtually bury the 1983 classic with this Hollywood Garbage. What a shame.
The story line in the 83 movie was a very good lesson for many young men to see today. Youth offender lock up is just what these kids need to see today. It sure gave me a wake up call to reality. Sean Penn, Esai Morales, and the rest of the crew gave an impressive movie .
While sitting with a friend who has been to juvenile detention centers during the late 70's, he said it was very close to reality . The positive or negative ways it shaped those who saw it was tremendous. This movie was dramatic in the way 70's urban movies were. you can just feel the grittiness of the scenes. It is hard to believe there has not been a proper remake of this flick.
Bad Boys with Sean Penn and Esai Morales (one of the most underrated actors ever) is a classic. A pre-Highlander Clancy Brown appears in it, too. The Coke can-sock bludgeoning is still one hell of an intense scene.
