Has anyone seen this? I have tickets for tomorrow, watched the trailer & I loved it.

[Brave New World]

Belfast is a 2021 coming of age comedy-drama film written and directed by Kenneth Branagh, and the film is described as being a semi-autobiographical film.

Branagh, the middle of three children, was born in Belfast, the son of working class Protestant parents Frances (née Harper) and William Branagh, a plumber and joiner who ran a company that specialised in fitting partitions and suspended ceilings. He lived in the Tigers Bay area of the city and was educated at Grove Primary School.

At the age of nine, he moved with his family to Reading, Berkshire, England, to escape the Troubles.

So Branagh has clearly drawn on his own life experiences.

Loved it, absolutely brilliant, Great photography, interesting tale, intriguing characters, & music by Van Morrison ( who is also a native of Belfast,) I think I will order the soundtrack.
