The boxoffice Reddit was on fire yesterday lowering estimates for this one as it's come out that there is a significant amount of nudity in the film. Oppenheimer was a known womanizer and had an affair with Florence Pugh's character in real life. We already knew the long length and R rating were likely to hurt box office just a bit, but I continue to be surprised how prudish many Americans are, even today.

I for one find the obvious steering around nudity for A-list American actresses and to get movies down to a "hard PG-13" kills verisimilitude in a lot of pictures. I have a lot of respect for Jennifer Lawrence in this regard.

We may be conservative but on a common sense level, I find nudity and sex scenes to be gratuitous and tawdry. It never seems to add anything to the plot.

YES! I'll see it Friday night or a Saturday matinee.

It looks to be a very interesting film and Cillian Murphy is a fantastic actor.

Cillian Murphy is in it so I'll see it for sure. He is terrific in most other roles, maybe all other roles but I doubt I've seen everything he's ever done. LOL

I will absolutely see it in a cinema. Do wish a 70mm theater was nearby but I'll still see it on a huge screen! IMAX!

Not until it comes out on streaming and we can skip the sex/nudity.
