I am reminded every day Trump is POTUS of the scene from "Schindler's List" between Goeth and Schindler about power---and how true power is self-control...which Trump obviously lacks https://youtu.be/U74nb1theFk
And love the line that Chief Dan George uses in "Little Big Man" to Dustin Hoffman --his adopted grandson --after going out and expecting to voluntarily give up his spirit:
"Well sometimes the magic works---and sometimes it doesn't..."
My favorite quote is from "High Sierra", a 1941 film noir which featured Humphrey Bogart as Mad Dog Roy Earle and Ida Lupino as Marie. At the end of the film, Roy and Marie are on the lam from authorities, after a botched resort hotel robbery. By this time, Roy has fallen in love with Marie and he realizes that it's only a matter of time before they're caught. Under the guise of not caring for her (but, he really loves Marie), Roy tells her that they must separate, so not to get apprehended. Bogart speaks the best line in the film to Lupino: "I got big plans, baby, and you don't fit in 'em."
"Over? Did you say over? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the German's bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no! And it ain't over now! Cause when the going gets tough.. The tough get goin'. Who's with me?" ...Animal House.
