Anyone remember the old 1970s movies that starred Linda Blair?

She was kidnapped by Martin Sheen and they hid in a cabin in the woods.

She was a repeated runaway in another film

She played an teen alcoholic

She was sent to juvy jail

Were these movies played at the theater? I only saw them on tv late at night back then.

I think the juvie jail was a made-for-tv movie, although it had some serious material for its time. I still remember the broom-handle scene that made me cringe.

She was a very good actress but she must not have had the right "look" or something.

I just looked them up on IMDB to refresh my memory.

I think it might have been in the very early 80s when I saw these movies for the first time.

I remember Sweet Hostage, Sarah T : Portrait of a Teenage Alcoholic and Born Innocent.

From what I remember when I watched Born Innocent, it was obvious that there was a scene edited out. That is why I asked if these movies were shown at the theater b/c of the editing on tv. But I read on IMDB that the scene was shown when it first aired on tv, but then there were complaints about it so they decided to edit it out.

I think these movies would still be controversal today. Don't know why they aren't shown anymore.

I remember hearing that the studios had issues with her weight back then. I always thought she was so cute. Her voice got on my nerves sometimes though. lol

A couple years ago I did watch Roller Boogie on tv. I had never heard of it before and wished I never watched it. It was pretty bad.
