A little trivia about this film. Ronald Defeo was watching this film before he killed his entire family in NY back in the 70's and was the basis for the movie Amityville Horror.

Very good. I saw this many years ago but never forgot it. Sort of like a Twilight Zone type story.

I remember hearing that it was so totally against Rock Hudson's romantic comedy "type" that his fans didn't like it, and so it bombed. But I thought it really was a well-done and well-acted movie. Now I have to see it again; it's been fifteen years or so since I've seen it, myself.

Not sure what is exactly meant by obscure ... Donnie Darko was pretty obscure and it's in my top 5 of all time.

Island of the Blue Dolphins. Saw it back in the 60/70's. Based on true story.

I agree about "Two Lane Black Top" , one of my fav movies, starring
a 55 Chevy and 70 GTO, also Beach Boy Dennis Wilson, James Taylor!, and Warren Oates (he makes the movie for me, I love when he tells "stories" to hitch-hikers he picks up) ...let's just say they don't make movies like that anymore!
Shot on location too (mostly in New Mexico).

Here are some my obscure favorites...

Act of the Heart 1970 ...set in Montreal, Donald Sutherland
All Things Fair 1994 ...Swedish movie, set in 1940's
Deep End 1970 ....music by Cat Stevens, Jane Asher
Degree of Murder, ...German movie, music by Brian Jones
Get Carter 1971, British movie, starring Michael Caine
Outside Man 1972, French movie in english, shot in Los Angeles
Paper Lion 1968, starring Alan Alda !
Pretty Maids All in a Row 1971, starring Rock Hudson and Angie Dickinson
Secret World 1969, starring Jacqueline Bisset, shot in France
Vanishing Point 1971, starring 1970 Dodge Challenger (and Barry Newman)
I Start Counting 1969, very rare film, starring Jenny Agutter

Sorry if I mentioned this one before, but it came up today in a conversation with a friend:

Hard Candy (2005) - IMDb

A must-see for Ellen Page fans. Good suspense for anyone who just likes quirky and dark.
