^^^ Is there really a Grace Pool, or did a group/person borrow the name (slightly misspelled) from "Jane Eyre"? Just curious... / I just looked her up. How weird to have that name, which maybe suits a "Goth" (if they're still around).

No such person. The name was indeed originally taken from Jane Eyre, but modified -- i.e., deliberately changed -- in its spelling, perhaps not unlike "Shakespears Sister" on that score. And Elly Brown was no more Goth than Natalie Merchant or Edie Brickell, the front girls for the groups Grace Pool was most often compared to. GP was only around for a few years and managed only three albums. Too bad -- I think they had more good stuff in them.
Z (kind of)
So the Z-Files are almost as thin as the X-Files, and they didn't even get their own TV show. Most of the good Z-stuff has already been done to death in the thread, and I don't feel like putting up bizarro stuff, so I'll just cheat a little bit and claim to have gotten us back to the top...
^^^I haven't heard that one for quite a while. I still have the 45 in my "favorites" box, which I never lose track of.

Wow! I didn't expect anyone to reply to my musings. I'm actually surprised that the name clicked with me, as it's been a very long time since I've read the novel or seen any film version of it. Thank you=} That was very interesting.

Well, it's a good question, and I happened to know the answer. I was supposed to read Jane Eyre at some point, but I don't recall actually doing it. I do recall 20 years of listening to a lot of Grace Pool though. I just like their stuff. This too...
