The concert was great! The Stones were not supposed be be there at all. They got added at the last minute after an appeal to them from Clapton and Harvey Weinstein. They have a live pay per view on Saturday night
I'm aware of the Pay Per View, I'm getting it myself. I wasn't aware they were added at the last minute, that all makes sense.
Eddie Vedder enough said. Love that man. I don't think he did anything else other than Comfortably Numb, unfortunately.
he did not sing anything else sadly, was hoping he was going to sing with The Who Reign O'er me but nope,he gave me the chills with Comfortably Numb. Love Him!!!!!
The Billy Joel part was the best. He never should have stopped. I also loved Billy Crystal's routine and Adam Sandler's song, and I almost always hate what Adam Sandler does!
I didn't understand why there were so many British acts on a show made for an American disaster, but I guess it was their popularity that mattered.
NObody compares, IMO. Was ranting that he should have closed (sorry, Sir Paul.)
Believe most, if not all, of the Brits have homes in NY & on LI; some full-time, others part time. Thought there would be a chance, albeit slim, that the Thin Duke would make the walk from his home nearby (he never left NY after 9/11.)
I was there (toasting Frank Sinatra's birthday with those around me, as well )
Hugs to everyone affected by that storm. We got off light where I am, only a few days without power.
I would listen to Eddie Vedder burp the alphabet. Love him!!
LOL me too. I'd still swoon
