Al Stewart "Year of the Cat"
I can't even talk about it.

Oops, I did it backwards - a song I don't like that triggers a bad memory. I better go get my coffee and wake my brain up!

Maneater by Hall & Oates ... the song is so corny, but I remember being a sophomore in HS and it being a pretty good time of my life. I downloaded it to my Ipod recently too. I'm ashamed too because I was deviating from my usual punk/new wave norm.

Whoa here she comes
Watch out boy, she'll chew you up
Whoa here she comes
She's a maneater

Nick Gilder's Hot Child In the City because that was the song I heard when I was 12 and first ... slept with a girl (who, in fairness, was older and initiated it).

Queen - "we will rock you"... "we are the champions" makes me think of high school basketball games. (and of course adopted by all sports teams as an anthem ever since. Worst song queen ever did.

But those basket ball games were sure fun.

Mostly anything 80's Madonna that I'm not wild about will trigger a happy, good memory.

Default Melanie

I got a brand new pair of rollerskates, you got a brand new key...

Her voice was like nails on a chalkboard, but it came out in my fun teen years!
