This is just a fan video, not an official release. I don't really like the idea of tying the song to a video, but I don't see a copy of the song with simply the album cover.
Probably many of the regulars on this forum could list hundreds of examples that we think fit the criteria laid out in the first post. I think I could. (This example came to mind mostly because I just happen to be on a mild version of one of my Shiina Ringo kicks lately.)

I don't know what a Shiina Ringo kick is, but that was nice, ApartmentNomad. Also, sometimes I think that movement in a video helps a person to watch/listen to the entire video and sometimes I choose videos that have movement in them. But I liked the video and liked the song. Thank you for posting.

Also, ApartmentNomad, I wanted to say that many of the regulars probably prefer to post in threads such as "Songs A-Z" or "What Song Are You Listening To RIGHT NOW?" etc., because they're easier to post in and require less thinking and less research. That's what that is all about. But whatever floats people's boats.

Could be, but the thing that struck me is that I care most about expressiveness in music (as it hits me, anyway). Music that works within narrow genre constraints and play off the expected conventions of those genres, can still be great. In fact, most of the music love probably falls into that category (even if I also love a lot of music that draws outside the lines). For example, Willie Colon & Celia's Cruz's cover of "Usted Abuso" (originally a Brazilian song) has what is on the one hand one of the most stereotypically Latin piano breaks ever, in it; and yet it's utterly effective. So I'm not sure it belongs on this thread. On the other hand, something like Bobby Valentin's "El muñeco de la ciudad" probably does, because of its various layers and inventive arrangement.
Or something like Cesar "Pupy" Pedroso's "Pupy El Buenagente," because practically nothing else sounds like it (the bass! once it really kicks in) (though some of his other songs are in the general ballpark):
And what about songs that simply have exceptional melodies. Is there any real way to argue the point? I don't know music theory, so maybe there is. But at some point doesn't it come down to "so why is that good?"

Well, I think that in both of the songs that you posted, the 'inventive arrangement' are the horn arrangements because I think that a complex and sophisticated horn arrangement can contribute to the 'creativeness' and 'innovativeness' of any song. Although, that's not to say that other instruments and other element don't contribute to those factors also.
For example... like this Eric Darius song called Move To It has a lot more going on in it other than a complex horn arrangement, but which makes it a very creative and innovative song.
And similarly, I think that his song Broke Down is creative and innovative because of the drums and the unique vocal arrangements, and how the background vocals have the unique sound of a barbershop quartet. Something that you don't hear everyday in a pop song.
And what about songs that simply have exceptional melodies. Is there any real way to argue the point? I don't know music theory, so maybe there is. But at some point doesn't it come down to "so why is that good?"
Well, keep in mind that I set the criteria for what I meant by 'creative' in the OP:
"are songs that go above and beyond the sound and the quality of the average song. Therefore, these songs should be a bit more complex and a bit more outstanding than the average song."
Therefore, what I was asking for was more than just exceptional melodies or songs that people think are good.

Also, ApartmentNomad, it's actually a bit harder than one would think because I know that it took me time to look through my collection to find and to assess most of the songs that I've posted so far in this thread.
I can't respond as fully as I'd like right now, but I am not convinced it's that difficult to come up with examples. In the mean time, I will add this (and several of their other songs probably belong):
