I grew up listening to John Denver and I still love him.

My favorites are...

Annie's Song
Grandma's Feather Bed

I love Potter's Wheel! Another singer/songwriter, Mack Bailey, also performs that song. Mack Bailey performs in most of the John Denver tribute concerts, along with the Hard Travelers (Mack is a member of Hard Travelers and the folk group called the Limeliters.) If you google them for your area, you may find that Mack, the Hard Travelers or the Limeliters will be playing in your area. They all do great concerts. The Hard Travelers were the lead band at the last John Denver concert I ever went to about a month before his death.

The songwriter who actually wrote Potter's Wheel is Bill Danoff (he also wrote John Denver's songs Take me Home Country Roads, Dearest Esmerelda, and I Guess He'd Rather Be in Colorado.) You may know Bill Danoff best by the song "Afternoon Delight" which was sung by the group Bill used to be a member of: Starland Vocal Band.

I love John Denver and Roger Miller. Not at all ashamed of it.

I'm neither a fan of his music, nor his airplane piloting.

Not only do I like Johns songs and songwriting, but he was WAY ahead of his time on telling people that they may want to think about what was happening as far as pollution and global warming was concerned. He was ridiculed back then but he stuck to his guns.
