I LOVE COVERS!

Check this out...anybody a fan of the show, Venture Bros? One of the creators, Doc Hammer, has a band called Weep and they covered a song by Rihanna, and while I'm not into Rihanna particularly, I love their version!

I like that much better than the original version! Angry regret and self-blame instead of sappiness.

Default Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love", done by Lenny Kravitz

This is an interesting live cover of Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love", done by Lenny Kravitz and his band in the Kennedy Center, while the surviving members of the Zeppelin band were in the audience being paid tribute to by a range of notable groups, after being honored by the President for "lifetime contributions to American culture through the performing arts."

Default Heart, with Jason Bonham and friends, doing Zeppelin's Stairway to Heaven

And from the same Kennedy Center event honoring Led Zeppelin, this is Heart, along with John Bonham's son and a huge band and choir, doing Stairway to Heaven. Beautifully done, and I do believe that's a tear I see coming down Robert Plant's face.

Default Foo Fighters do Zeppelin's Rock and Roll

One last one from the Kennedy Center gala for Zeppelin. This was the first performance of the night and the Foo Fighters got the show going in style. They really look like they are having fun too!

This is probably the only way I could ever listen to a Britney Spears song:

"Toxic" - Omido (ft. Rick Jansen)

LOL, now that is different, cleverly done by Mr Turner.

Whoa, that was powerful. I shed a tear too and am choked up. Thanks for posting.

I was thinking that I hope I'm gone before all "our" (Boomer) greats are gone. I don't know why I thought that, but it popped into my head. My father is now 101, he's part of a fragment of his generation.

I wouldn't say I like this version better (I'm a purist) but I like it as well as, or almost as well as the original. I loved seeing Robert Plant get emotional over this.
