Having listened much of what has been posted on this thread, I must say I am NOT impressed. The music of the 80s was awfully commercial, in fact many of these (forgettable ) pieces are still played on mainstream radios.
No comparison with the 60s and 70s which were the Golden Age of pop music .
You do of course realize there are appropriate threads for those songs, Pigeon?
This thread is specifically for '80's music. If you aren't impressed, don't listen. Easy peasy.
I agree with you, but Eminem isn´t exactly 80s music either.
I have listened to the album Some Great Reward released in 1984 for several times. I managed to appreciate it too. It is also a very solid album. Not as gloomy as Black Celebration. It is lighter and has a more merry attitude. There are several great melodies on there.
