Hi,

title says it all... what are good decent places to live in Naples for schools, crime, etc.?
Places which aren't crowded much by tourists / snowbirds. What about neighborhoods like Forth Island or Orangetree?

Really would like to understand where it's a good idea to buy, also in terms of holding home value.

Thanks

I’ll take a stab at the original posting then.

OP YOU HAVEN'T PROVIDED ENOUGH INFORMATION TO SERIOUSLY ANSWER YOUR GENERAL QUESTIONS ABOUT NAPLES. ALL YOU’RE GOING TO GET IN RETURN IS MORE QUESTIONS! IF YOU WANT GOOD ANSWERS YOU NEED TO ASK GOOD QUESTIONS AND CITY DATA ISN’T THE BEST PLACE TO START A DIALOGUE WHEN YOU CAN PICK UP THE PHONE AND RANDOMLY CALL 2-3 LOCAL REAL ESTATE AGENTS. THIS IS WHAT THEY ARE MADE FOR.

If you want to avoid talking with an agent because you’re concerned about their self serving agenda and bias then you need to provide more information to either internet strangers or any friends you have in the area.

This is a simple process of elimination game if you’re a serious buyer. The goal is to eliminate as much as you can so you can narrow down what you do want.

What’s the top end of your budget or is price secondary to ROI?
If this is strictly an investment rental property what metrics do you use to analyze your ROI? Cap rate, cash on cash return, etc?
What’s your lifestyle like? Golf? Beach?
How much do you intend to use the property?
Do you intend to rent the property out, if so how frequently?
Do you have pets?
Do you prefer a gated community and HOA or non HOA communities?
If you have kids how old are they?

I can go on and on. Naples is a big area and generally speaking it’s very nice minus a few condensed areas.

Holding value? Who the hell knows.. honestly!? No one can predict the market. Your power is only in the present moment getting as much % off the list price as you can.

Anywhere, where you see people that look rich, women with over-processed, but glam hair, plastic faces, and well-maintained lawns.
