Oh yea, in the old Houston's location. I've been there a few times and thoroughly enjoyed it. I think Sperry's is a bit more upscale and Bricktop's is more in line with (or slightly above) a J. Alexander's.

Agreed. Bricktops is a casual upscale kind of place.

There are also some upscale places around the Gulch, but I'm not familiar with any of them.

So we have narrowed it down to Sperry's or Mère Bulles Restaurant. Any advice?

I vote Sperry's...love that place. Mere Bulle's is good, but I still like the ambiance inside Sperry's a lot better. Plus, the salad bar is hard to beat.

I second Sperry's. I've been there 3-4 times and only to Mere Bulles once. I like the atmosphere and food better at Sperry's. Mere Bulles is very fine...you'll likely have a great time and great food. But I would go to Sperry's.

Either way, have you called the restaurants to check for reservations? If one is full, that might make the decision easier for you. Either way, I'd call as soon as possible to get a reservation.
