I know you were responding to the OP, but I don't judge children by their skin color or socioeconomic status.
Good. You would like LaVergne High. never a dull moment there.

LaVergne HS rates 5 from GreatSchools, not quite the same as Siegel at 10.

However, LaVergne grads who are on the Dean's list in college and Siegel grads who are on the Dean's list in college are both equally on the Dean's list in college. And there are plenty from both schools. You just have to put up with a few things a little more often at LHS.

Good 'cause neither do I. I was stating a documentable fact, not expressing an opinion or passing judgement on children. Sheesh.

We really appreciate all of the suggestions, We really dont care about test scores as much as a diverse environment. My son will be a Senior and he will excel in whatever environment he is in, but we are not rich and are just barely middle class so I want to make sure the school is at least economically diverse.

Then seriously consider the newer area round "Debbie Lane" off Waldren Rd. near LaVergne. Good size houses for the money in a quiet area and at least about 5 miles from the bad reputation "Lake Forest" aka "the other side of the tracks." That area (around Debbie Ln.) is diverse in a good way.

Three bedrooms with 2 1/2 bath for under 150k ? - great deal!!

We plan on renting for a year or longer and then buying. Have a house in WI to sell first.

I see teens skateboarding in downtown Murfreesboro on Sunday afternoons. The businesses around the square are closed so the streets are pretty empty.
