My son and his fiance are looking at a house on this street. Her father pulled the crime stats and was very concerned about what he (and to a less extent what I) consider a huge number of crimes compared to where her family lives (Hendersonville) or where our family lives (Hermitage). So how bad crime wise is that area. THis is just across Gallatin Road (Main Street) from 5 points, around from Meigs Magnet. They are in their 20's, working couple and want the East Nashville environment, but I just want to be sure they are safe :-)

My opinion is that the area north of Main and south of Greenwood between Ellington Parkway and Gallatin is pretty decent. It's not as safe as the other side of Gallatin, but it's far from unsafe.
There are obviously going to be more crimes in the city than in Hendersonville. For one thing, there are vastly more people in the city.
