I have a friend who's looking to move to the hendersonville area and they are a teacher. They know that they are probably not going to get a full time job right away and were interested about how much they would be getting paid for subbing before they make the long move. I know they hendersonville is located in sumner county but I have not been able to find anything online about the substitute teacher pay rate in the county. Please help!

They have their teaching license in both NY and TN, and bachelors if that makes a difference

My county currently has a drastic shortage of subs. They pay is very low, but it is a high-performing district and the kids are generally very well behaved.

Here is a link to the payscale:

If she is an experienced teacher, it will be a piece of cake. The next sub orientation is 11/17.

WCS is also hiring full-time teachers. Our school is adding another 3d grade classroom because so many kids have shown up since the start of the school year.

From what I hear, Nashville schools (MNPS) are experiencing a shortage of subs too. I believe the pay scale is similar.

Any idea about sumner county? I've heard $55 for a day but that just seems way too low to me

The most recent info (from 2012) I found online says $55. That is pretty terrible pay considering it's not a very easy job.
