If you are in unincorporated area you will just pay county taxes. Parts of Franklin proper are zoned for FSSD which is a special school district that is grades K-8. FSSD has its own taxing authority. Other parts of Franklin are not part of FSSD but instead are zoned for Williamson County Schools. Both districts are great.
Taxes will be a bit higher inside Franklin than in the county but you also get things like Trash pick up, fire and police services vs having to rely on the county sheriff.
