Yes, and this is just the beginning. This will attract more companies for sure.

What is that supposed to mean? "lets you and him fight"? Why would Nashville even want to "duke it out" with Atlanta. Nashville has its own identity, if you hadn't heard.

Meaning it will be a while before Atlanta and Nashville can be considered peer cities.

Atlanta is definitely in another tier when it comes to economy size, influence, and population. It is in a tier with Dallas, Houston, Miami, and Boston amongst a few others. Nashville is firmly in the Columbus/Austin/Pittsburgh/Charlotte tier at this point.

Note, though, that tiers in terms of population and overall size of the economy doesn’t equate to quality of life or economic opportunity. In that regard, Atlanta and Nashville are fairly similar.

True enough. There are many of us who think Atlanta has a ways to go to catch up with Nashville.

I would agree with this. It has been great that recent job announcements haven't just been in the health care sector. It is good that Nashvillle is diversifying its industries. So many towns in the rust belt relied on one industry and were/are unable to adapt when that industry goes bust.

What is it with these fantasy rankings?

Charlotte, NC can't shine Nashville's shoes.

Every time Charlotte, NC goes up against Nashville it loses.

Major League Soccer franchise.

Hosting for the World Cup. Charlotte, NC was cut from consideration.

Amazon. Charlotte, NC didn't even make the short list.

AllianceBernstein headquarters. They went head to head and got smoked.

Charlotte, NC is to Nashville what Cliff Barnes was to J.R. Ewing.

Default Nashville colleges could possibly be key player in Amazon's work force development

TSU, Vanderbilt and Lipscomb could be key players in Amazon's Operations hub being built in Nashville. https://amp.tennessean.com/amp/2054521002
