I started looking for areas close to Antioch to move to once my lease in H*ll is up lol. Was just wondering if anyone has any thoughts (good or bad) on Brentwood, Smyrna, LaVergne, or Nolensville? I'd like to stay in Mt.Juliet but if I can't find a house to rent here I was going to look in those areas too. I'd love to find a place/town that has a few home town bars and restaurants, there is only one here and they are never hiring(no turn over/loyal staff). I was thinking Murfreesboro(sorry I know its not spelled right) too but the guy across the hall said its a big area and has lots of bad areas...??? Is that true? Any help/info is greatly appreciated.

p.s. I'm still loving TN and this weather is great!! Made some great friends too!

There several people on here (mostly on the Nashville forum) who live in Murfreesboro and like it.

If you're looking for a house to rent in Mt. Juliet, check in the Hickory Hills subdivision off Lebanon Rd. across the street from the Baskin-Robbins/Dunkin Donuts. I've seen houses for rent there. They've also got some new townhomes there that might be for rent too.

If you're stuck on moving to Brentwood: I've heard good things about Brentwood Oaks in Brentwood. Pretty reasonable rates + nice area.

Not sure where the Wal-Mart is out there.

There's at least one Walmart in... Lebanon or Mt. Juliet. It's on the big four lane. I visit relatives out there some but always have trouble keeping up with which area is which town!

You may get some better answers by the folks in that part of TN so going to move this over to the Nashville sub forum. Hope that helps.

I just put in a request to have it moved.

BTW, if it were me, and I were a bartender, I think I'd want to work out along the Broadway/21st Avenue/West End corridor, or someplace similar. I would assume the tips are much better and there are a lot of restaurants in that general area.

Hey, I think the thread was moved while I was typing. Wow. I feel like Dorothy in The Wizard of Oz. "I don't think we're in the Tennessee forum anymore, Toto."

I live in Murfreesboro and yes, it is quite large, but I don't see where that would make it bad here. Like all cities, it has it's parts of town to avoid. I love it here and so do a few other people who post here. We have it all. It's convenient and clean with a huge variation of prices. There are 2 Walmart Supercenters and everything else you could ever need or want.

THANKS alleycat! I think I may drive into Nashville on my day off and go to those streets see if anyone is hiring.
