Smyrna is a growing city with great schools. Housing is great and location to to Airport, Downtown Nashville (20 Min), and sopping is also a good thing. I truly believe that Smyrna is a great place to be. I work in Smyrna and enjoy it. If you have any other questions just e-mail me and i'll be glad to help.

I'll be working near Opryland so, I too was looking at Smyrna. The housing prices are much better than Hendersonville and Franklin-two areas my wife and I looked at as these appear to have better schools. However, a realator told me that there's only on main highway to and from Nashville so traffic can be really bad. The realator suggested Smyrna only if I was able to modify my working hours so I'd start later.
