I just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Laura and I will be moving to Nashville in July! I am in the process of searching for apartments, probably near the Hendersonville area (because that's where I'll be working).

I am so excited about my upcoming move- I can hardly wait!

Welcome Laura!

Sorry I don't have any Hville apt. info, but I wanted to say hello just the same.

Good luck with your move. Nashville is a wonderful place to live.

Welcome to Tennessee. Enjoy the lake (Old Hickory isn't the nicest lake in Tennessee, but it's still nice).

It will be a tab bit on the warm side in July (and August); just wait until fall when the leaves turn and take a drive out into the country.

Welcome, I think you'll really like Hendersonville. There is a lot of building, and more retail stores are coming in.

It's one of my favorite towns.

I'm in Knoxville now finishing up my master's degree, plus I've lived in the south my whole life- I'm used to the warm weather

Ah, I see. I worry about northerners coming down in July and August. It takes a while to get used to the heat and humidity at that time of year.

Welcome again to the Nashville area.

Hello,

My husband & I are also thinking of moving to TN July & glad to hear about your news. IF you don't mind me asking, what company will you be working for? Was it hard to find a job? We've posted several blogs about our move and trying to find out as much information as possible.

Thank you,

cangar

I moved here twenty years ago from Minnesota in August.

Arrived with a car full of stuff that had to be carried up outside stairs to a second story apartment.

108 degrees. One. Hundred. And. Eight. Degrees.

After hauling things up and down those stairs and changing clothes three times in the space of two hours, I sat on the floor in front of the open refrigerator and thought:

What have I done?

I'm surprised you stayed, fiddler. 108 is excessive even for us.
