Does anyone know of public parks, fitness trails, etc. with exercise stations? At least a playground with chin up bars? I live between the airport and Hermitage, and haven't found anything.

Thanks for your input...

There are many greenways around town. The closest to you would be the Stones River route, which begins at Percy Priest Dam, and connects to the Shelby Park greenway via the suspension bridge next to Wave Country.
As for exercise stations, I'd say you'll probably have to join a gym. You mentioned playgrounds...I don't know how well, I'm guessing you're an adult, using said playground as fitness equipment, would be received.

Thanks for that great information Vespula!

My father in law built part of the greenway (somewhere between Shelby Park and Opry Mills), and I haven't even been to check it out yet. I'm horrible! Your post has motivated me to get out there. Really, thank you for such a great post!
