Oh, goody. I can't wait to play "Guess the Poop."

Reminds me of once when I had the kids out tromping around on a nature walk and I stooped over and called to them, "Come over here and look at these interesting little mushrooms." My son shouted out, "Don't touch them Mom! That's poop!" Never let me live it down.

So I guess you can count me out as an expert on poop.

Is the scat tubular or tapered? Firm or more amorphous like bird poop? Hair in it?

Fox, stray cat, raccoon, weasel? Please lost picturess.

BTW, foxes and coyotes here will poop in the middle of paths or on top of things like lumber, rocks, or other prominant items. So do ground squirrels, which I think you don’t have in your area.

Here we go! Looks like a worm or something had been expelled. I used a stick and got rid of it. Then later, looked out and saw more poo. They keep doing it right in the middle of the picnic table.

I had a close encounter with nature early this morning. We have a freezer room that has a refrigerator and 2 chest freezers. I walked in to get something and encountered a cute baby skunk. Cute until it sprayed me, then not so cute. We have a feral cat that lives in the room and we feed it. Baby skunk was probably hungry. Several showers and I'm good to go!

That glob of stuff on the table looks like something some predator expelled that didn't sit well with its tummy.

You mean like a hawk or eagle?

Someone with an unskunked nose would be a better judge of that!

Sorry you got sprayed. I hope your refrigerator and freezers don’t retain the smell!

That’s a good more-than-guess. The animal appears to have been a bird because there is white both at the end of the icky mass and in a separate drop on the table. Or a bird ADDED to the thing after whatever it was pooped. I didn’t think turkeys would stand on a table, but they do roost on tree branches.
