We will be relocating to Northern Nevada this summer, my husband will be working in Carson City. We are getting a little concerned about our dogs. We have 4 dogs and it seems that all the counties in that area limit you to three. We aren't limited by children and schools and are open to living just about anywhere within reason. We are still researching the area. Anyone out there with animals that can guide us?

*edit* disregard my post! I just saw you are talking about Northern Nevada.

Quote:
Clark County is three, but if they aren't a nuisance you are likely to be left alone. They would have to be actively reported for it to become an issue.

If you move to Nye County you can have as many neutered or spayed dogs as you can care for.

Nye County Code is here

6.20.020: RESTRICTIONS; NUMBER OF CATS AND DOGS:
A. It is unlawful for any one household or business to possess, own or keep more than two (2) unspayed or unneutered dogs over the age of six (6) months at any one time. It is unlawful for any one household or business to possess, own or keep more than two (2) unspayed or unneutered cats over the age of six (6) months at any one time. The ownership, maintenance or possession of more than two (2) unspayed or unneutered dogs or two (2) unspayed or unneutered cats by any individual is declared to be a public nuisance, subject to judicial abatement in proceedings to be initiated by the animal regulation officer and/or sheriff upon receipt of a written complaint that such practice is occurring.

B. A household or business may possess, own or keep any number of spayed or neutered dogs or cats; provided, however, that such household or business is capable of adequately caring and providing for the dogs and cats so kept. (Ord. 161, 1994: Ord. 99 § 99.701(a), 1982)
