New Hampshire is 97% white. Some towns are 99% white. You may have an identity crisis.
People are two-faced about race these days. Also, with the shorter daylight hours and the many overcast days, it may impact you and your families health due to lack of vitamin D intake. Have you checked out Florida? Great real estate deal right now...

Northern New England has a higher quality of life than Florida. Florida is an overrated and overcrowded state with no seasons.

NO SUN? You have to be kidding me. NH has more sunny days during the winter than many other locales at the same latitude. You hardly get two sunny days at a time in the winter in the Great Lakes and Pacific Northwest. Lack of Vitamin D? Not as long as one gets outside. NH is not even as far north in latitude as England.

without Mass. for job support, NH would be in trouble. The further North , the more cold , joblessness, and bleakness. Sure the property taxes are higher to the South, theres a reason.

This is why the Lakes Region is the best of both worlds. It has the lowest property taxes of any region of the state, is not too far removed from a more diverse array of jobs further south in the state, and is mostly middle class with elite areas along the lakeshore.

I think we're only talking about a few hundred dollars difference between counties and cities. With that said, I feel the entire south NH fairs very well nationwide, educationally. Employment: ClarkBush hit the nail on the head.

Check out Wolfeboro. Beautiful town and surprisingly low taxes. Hospital and high school.

Not quite. Many towns in Carroll County have taxes that are generally several thousand below much of southern NH. Jobs are the issue there, but is more reasonable for retirees. Belknap County has Alton and Meredith that offer a high quality of life with lower property taxes.
