I finally made it up here (back here)! it was gruelling: you remember that post-christmas icky weather? It started with freezing rain in MD and we drove through it the entire way up. took us 16 hours (normal is 10)!!! didn't get in until 2:30am. luckily the snow in the driveway was low enough I could drive in. Of course there was supposed to be another 10 inches coming in overnight. ewww.
My friend who drove with me, and I (with only 1 shovel) were about to resignedly go out and tackle the driveway when... I looked out and saw a plow guy at my neighbor's doing a second pass on hers. I ran out and begged him to do mine, too! which he did. whew. that was enough to last until the moving van arrived on Friday.
Then it snowed again on Sat... (my friend having flown home Thurs night), and I went out and started shovelling. no, didn't know how to contact that plow guy, and he didn't automatically plow my driveway with the second snow. but, about 5 min into the shovelling, he showed up again to check the neighbor's drive and thankfully dug me out too! now I have his name & number in case it snows again before hubby comes up and decides to learn the snowblower. gee. welcome to NH: snow. <sigh>
Now, once hubby finally makes it up (this weekend, I hope) we can get around to niceties like car registration and drivers license. btw: does it make any difference which we do first?
Welcome home, Wanna!! This has been such a long process for you, but glad to read that all of the pieces are finally falling into place (even with the current cable/internet irritations). LMK if you need anything!

Welcome back!
It doesn't look like it matters which one you do first but once you establish residency the clock starts ticking and you have 60 days do both:
I was curious so I did a couple quick searches for the meaning of "establish residency" but didn't find anything definitive.
