Hi All…I got a project into NYC and planning to move with my family into NJ area. My kid will be in school starting from coming September. I am looking for help on where to stay. Below are my preferences.
· Lots of Indian population
· Less daily commute to NYC
· Rent (1500 Max)
· Good School

Can you please give me suggestion for the same?

Thanks

What is it with the $1500 price point? Answer is, as with all the others, that it doesn't exist. You can get a short commute and good schools. You can get a short commute and low rent. But you definitely can't get all three. I'm not sure you can even get low rent and a good school with a long commute.

Cleveland has good schools and good housing for $1500. However, your commute will be about 8 hrs each way to nyc.

Areas around Metropark station come to mind - Edison, Woodbridge. I don't know current rents though.
