Hello, we are in Ocean City NJ now and want to return home to the Allentown PA area but are undecided if it is best to leave around 9 or 10 pm Friday eve or 10 am Saturday morning. Have 3 kid so anything earlier than 10 am is unrealistic. We want to hit the least amount of traffic. Which is best?
I agree with Friday night. You'll be fighting traffic to and from the beach on Saturday morning, especially when you are first getting out of the area.
Friday night you will have no traffic, everyone headed the other way. If you leave Saturday morning leave earlier than 10. Saturday traffic is horrible coming into and leaving OC because it's changeover day, the weekly rentals end at 11 and many people leave earlier to beat the traffic.

Agreed. Friday is the way to go. Fridays we can still use Rt. 55 to go West and not hit traffic.

A lot of rentals now end at 10:00 AM...I know mine does.
I'm looking for people from the Lehigh Valley to interview about OCNJ's decision to become BYOB-friendly. Anybody who is interested, email me at dlash@mcall.com -- thanks
