I couldn't find the other post where the lady was looking to move to forrest hill but please read this article first before moving there. Mind you Forrest Hill is where the President of NJIT Robert Altenkirch lives and even he is now concerned.

In Forest Hill, they’re willing to pay for someone to watch over them | NJ.com

"But it was a victim of serious crime who knocked several weeks ago on the door of Paul Agostini, the treasurer of the community association. He said a 23-year-old man had been pistol-whipped nearby and came crying for help. "He was all bloody and both eye sockets looked like dark patches," Agostini recalled.
Agostini said he and his neighbors want someone keeping extra watch, particularly when they are at work during the day."

Forest Hill falling? To what? While it's better than most of the city by comparison there's always been spillover crime. I think the only way for it to truly truly be secure is if the surrounding areas improve...otherwise it'll always be an enclave (and some of the 'night-time' activities that go on in Branch Brook Park don't help)

It's too bad places like SocHill and ForHills (and even a small enclave in Weeq) are surrounded by sketchy stuff.

Not surprising. You can't live under a palm tree in hell and then complaint that it's still hot outside.
