Nonsense. First priority is a quality education not some sort of "experience".

Disagree. To an 18-year old kid, if they have the choice, the experience matters. My best friend went to Tulane on a full-ride. The fact that it is in New Orleans clinched the deal.

HubCityMadMan,

How hard is it to walk from Rutherford to the other side of the tracks where East Rutherford has two decent pubs? But I agree, not enough overall.

You're probably right. My daughter's at school about 8300 miles away, and she sounds as if she's having a great time!

Sorry I keep going off topic but I read just now that NJ loses 40% of its students to out of state colleges every year, the highest in the nation. That's really high haha.

I was the one who WOULD do it, all my friends there were too lazy.

I've seen those "girls gone wild" videos and I don't think many are filmed in New Brunswick, NJ.

I can almost hear the phone being dialed right now.

From Drew's campus to Century 21, it is 4.4 miles. Drew is not at Convent Station. It is a very long walk from campus to the green.

I graduated from Drew in 2000. We never walked to Morristown from campus. We took the train (before we were allowed to have cars on campus) or drove.

Madison offered college kids with basic needs and a safe, small town. I was able to do necessary shopping in town then take the bus to Short Hills or Livingston Mall. I was debating between Trinity College and Drew. When my parents saw Madison, Trinity was not an option anymore. They wanted me to be safe and be able to go off campus when I needed to.

NJ's in-state tuition is higher than most state's out-of-state tuition

I have to Skype my daughter. Phone connections between here and China are iffy.
