Hi!
So glad I found this website seems very helpful!
I'm looking for details on the commute from Fairfield to Penn Station. My husband is in Fairfield on RT46 on business and stuck there on his bday. I don't drive, so I'm looking to surprise him by showing up on public transportation with a cake!
As I understand it, the best way to go is to take a bus directly from Penn to the Willowbrook Mall, and then it seems I've got a little walk from there. Does anyone know how bad the commute is as far as traffic? I'll be comming straight from work and going straight to work, so I wanna know how packed the bus will be.
Also, from what I can see on Google Maps theres a tiny bridge/overpass that goes over a river west of the Willowbrook Mall on RT46. Can I walk over that? Or is there no pedestrians allowed?
I tried the NJ Transit website, but for the life of me I can't understand the bus map. There's just a line with the names of the stops on it. I don't even know which street it goes down!!
You might re-think your trip. There's major road construction in that area right now. You didn't say where on 46 he works, but that could be quite some walk. I don't think I'd attempt it. sorry I don't know about the buses.
sorry, Im heading to the La Quinta on Two Bridges Road. I can't believe I forgot to mention that part. Are they doing the construction overnight or during rush hour?
