The charge for the parents should be manslaughter.
I agree. As I said waaaaaaaay back on page three of this thread, I believe the charge of Criminally Negligent Homicide should apply here, and that the owner of the gun should end up in prison.
And they are breeding them with beagles now, which should be against the damn law!
Those "designer" dogs are nothing more than mutts that they charge people $2000 - $4000 for - it's ridiculous when I see the sales receipt and see what these people pay (and of course now they're too broke to pay for vaccines, flea protection, etc). Just because they come up with a cute name like "Puggle" people are drawn in like flies to you know what. A well bred show quality dog barely costs that and people are paying these prices for puppy mill "pure bred" dogs and mutts! There was a recent sudy done that proved "labradoodles" are just as likely to cause allergies than any other dog too - I LMAO at that one. That was one of the main selling points for that mutt.
Oops - I did it again...
OK, back to the idiot who should be charged with murder for his irresponsibility...
It boggles the mind why conservatives are so against abortion when you have brainless nitwits like this living in our neigjborhoods.
It would be helpful if fingerprint guns were to be sold to the public. Then, if you wished a gun for home protection, you could leave it out among young children with no worry at all. Then, there would be no excuse at all for leaving a 'normal' gun out and doing that would result in an extreme penalty.
It seems to me that fingerprint guns would prevent the majority of these deaths but no one seems to be advocating for them. It might not be a perfect solution, but it should be something that we all could agree on and it would prevent many accidental deaths, if that is our real concern.

There you go again, demonizing the TOOL instead of the person using it. A pit bull is not an inherently evil thing. A pit bull is a dog, and will do what it is trained to do. Just as with guns, the blame for damage done by a pit bull belongs on that dog's OWNER.
I think it even may go farther than that. I think some animals are selectively bred to be aggressive. Not all Pit Bulls are mean, but just as years ago some bred German Shepherds or Dobermans to be aggressive, some people are doing this with Pit Bulls.
You're right, though. It usually comes back to ignorant and screwed up people.
