For who? The rich? Oh, that's right. The rich are the only ones who should matter, because they're rich.

The Obama-Soviet system that is growing like a societal cancer is now showing it's true self. Death panels, cost cutting, doctors leaving the business, and the death of innovation and invention under the yolk of collectivist mediocrity.
Do you have any idea how comically insane you sound? Obama is a centrist Republican. Only right-wing nutcases would think that he has anything in common with the Soviet system.

But that's what y'all wanted. And that's what y'all are getting. And now that you see the first tiny slivers of reality, y'all want to scream that "this is not what we signed on for". Well, yes it is. In every way. You signed up for tyranny, mediocrity, and statist power-mongering.
As opposed to corporate power-mongering?

And I am happy to report that you are getting exactly what you asked for and exactly what you deserve. Bad dumb people deserve bad dumb government. And I am unhappy to report that the quality of the American citizen is now reflected in the retarded power-grabbing mental midgets that we have elected to represent and govern us.

And this, my friends, is just the beginning. You want better? You can't handle better!
I'm still waiting for you to tell me what a better alternative is to what we had.....which was nothing.

The pre-Obamacare health care that we used to have is good. We just need some minor modification.

1) Doctor is requires to list price for their service.
2) Health insurance need to be real insurance like other insurance product. Patient need to t pay for their own preventive care. If you have a cold, you go to doctor and you pay out of your own pocket. If you need a cancer operations, insurance will cover it and you pay whatever your policy copay is.

Obamacare can just do that instead of a 20,000 pages regulation that nobody understand.

you could have cut costs a great deal by requiring prices to be made public and give people an incentive to choose lower cost providers. obamacare seems to try to address that by having high deductibles, but it doesn't seem to be the right way to do it.

Obama has been very gentle to Wall St. None of those criminals ever did a day in jail & nobody shipped off to commie prison camp in Siberia.

By comparison Nixon was downright Maoist with some of his policies.

First tell us what value insurance companies play in the HC equation to begin with. The HC industry is bloated, inefficient, didn't cover millions of Americans & is far too expensive. Other than that it's just grand.

you want me to explain the value of insurance as opposed to paying for every expense out of pocket?

or you just want to replace the insurance company with the government and assume the government will do a better job? if that's the case, then why not make all business government operated?

More like a major overhaul - and Obamacare wasn't that at all.

Even for a cold, the retail price for a doctor's visit is prohibitive for many. Or doesn't that make sense to you?

And how do people who are, say, unemployed or have preexisting conditions even get insurance?

What you need is to really look at the policies of, say, Nixon, Ford or Reagan, and compare them ideologically to Barack Obama. You'll find that he is far from being a leftist.
